Tim Hortons Foundation Camps help youth from underserved communities achieve their full potential through multi-day, overnight camp experiences. Whether at camp or back home in their communities between visits—our youth work to build social, emotional, leadership and innovation skills and behaviours like volunteerism and motivation to learn so they become civically and academically engaged, and successfully transition to adulthood.

Job Summary: Reporting to the Manager, Accounting this role ensures the timely and accurate completion of accounts payable transactions. In addition, this role supports with assigned month-end and year-end tasks. Providing reliable and consistent customer service in responding to financial related enquiries is a large aspect of this role.

Location: This role will be based out of our Home Office location. Our Home Office is located on the grounds of Tim Horton Onondaga Farms located in St. George Ontario. This position will ideally work a hybrid work schedule with a minimum of 3 days in the office and 2 working remotely.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurate review, processing, and payment of accounts payable invoices
  • Accurate completion of assigned month-end entries, reconciliations, and accruals
  • Provide exemplary customer service for finance related enquiries
  • Support the annual processing of tax related information including Reg105, 1099 & T2200
  • Process sales tax self-assessments and related government filings
  • Manage the general finance email inbox
  • Maintain document storage and file retention for the Finance Department
  • Support the completion of the annual financial Audits that results in no adverse findings
  • Ensure all assigned finance related processes/actions are documented and standardized
  • Support the Manager, Accounting on finance related projects and other duties as assigned

Does this sound like you?

  • Completed post-secondary education in a related field or equivalent experience
  • 2-3 years of related experience, preferably in a not-for-profit
  • Experience providing exemplary customer service
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated initiative to take leading steps or action
  • Exceptional attention to detailand data-entry skills
  • Excellent communication skills (spoken and written)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience using SAGE Intacct is considered an asset
  • Bilingualism in French and English is considered an asset
  • Ability to submit an acceptable criminal record search
