Prepare accurate financial and regulatory reports in compliance with internal policies, International Accounting Standards, and regulatory requirements.

Ensure timely submission of reports such as Risk Adjusted Capital (RAC), Monthly Financial Reports (MFRs), and Annual Form 1 to meet internal and external deadlines.

Reconcile reports with the general ledger and coordinate with teams like Operations, Product Control, Corporate Accounting, IT, and external service providers to resolve discrepancies.

Monitor and enhance reporting systems to maintain data accuracy and support strategic decisions.

Participate in projects focused on new product reporting, data validation, automation, and system upgrades.

Support the Regulatory Reporting Director in identifying and addressing financial, operational, and capital adequacy risks.

Maintain up-to-date documentation of regulatory reporting policies and procedures.

Collaborate with Operations, Sales, Trading, and Compliance teams to deliver timely and accurate financial data that supports business objectives.

Calculate daily RAC to ensure compliance with IIROC capital, liquidity, and profitability standards.

Assist in evaluating the adequacy of insurance coverage.
Profile
- 8+ years of Regulatory or Accounting professional experience working in a Canadian Broker Dealer
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA designation; Canadian Securities Course (CSI); Canadian CFO license preferred
- Knowledge of CIRO/IIROC regulations, securities trading (Equity, Fixed Income and Derivative products), securities financing (Repo, Securities Borrowing/Lending) and Underwriting
- Solid understanding of financial statements and financial risks
- Strong analytical, logical reasoning and problem-solving skills
- Able to multitask efficiently and effectively
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Desired Skills and Experience 8+ years of Regulatory or Accounting professional experience working in a Canadian Broker Dealer
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
