About the role

Hybrid role - 3 days in office

please note that this position can be filled in any of our offices across Canada The senior solution analyst will act as a technical lead for our technologies in any project or initiative. The position will plan, organize and follow up on activities and improvements to the assigned technology portfolio. The analyst will continuously deliver new solutions to drive business value, while keeping an eye on maintaining business-as-usual activities.

You Will Be Focusing On

  • Delivers business solutions, through development and integration of new and existing systems.
  • Collaborates with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, and translates them into technical specifications.
  • Designs and proposes IT solutions that align with business goals and processes.
  • Evaluates and recommends software solutions to meet business needs.
  • Oversees the implementation and integration of new systems, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Performs system testing, troubleshooting, and problem resolution to ensure solutions function as intended.
  • Develops and maintains documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Conducts training sessions for end-users and other members of IT to ensure they are proficient in using new systems and tools.
  • Monitors system performance and make recommendations for improvements and optimizations.
  • Stays updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continually improve system solutions.
  • Works closely with other IT leadership (regionally and globally), to deliver projects at strategic, tactical and operational levels.
  • Liaises with the Technical Design Authority (TDA) ensuring applications comply with stipulated technical guidelines.
  • Database development and administration – manage SQL Agent jobs, SSIS packages, Stored Procedures, Views; planning large-scale migrations.
  • Documenting data architecture, including data flows from multiple platforms.
  • Analyzing technical documents and reverse engineer products to document functionality, and data schemas where none exist.
  • Acts as a technical resource for all technological matters, whether support or change related, within assigned technologies. Escalates to vendors as required.
  • Manages application portfolio, and ensures it remains up to date.
  • Applies system patches.
  • Proposes and performs system upgrades.
  • Creates and maintains clear roadmaps.
  • Establishes and grows relationships with associated vendors.
  • Supports knowledge transition.
  • Completes service transition documentation.
  • Creates knowledgebase articles.
  • Builds and maintains runbooks
  • Leads knowledge transfer sessions with other team members.
  • Provides afterhours call support.
  • Represents the Application Delivery team for assigned projects and initiatives.
  • Is the single point of contact for applications-related activities.
  • Coordinates activities with other team members (internal and external).
  • Assesses impacts to other systems/processes/platforms.
  • Escalates roadblocks and major issues.
  • Generates project design documentation (detailed design, architecture, etc.).
  • Performs business and functional analysis in relation to assigned processes/platforms.
  • Adheres to defined ITSM processes.

What You Bring To The Role

  • A bachelors’ degree with a technology focus.
  • At least 10+ years of experience in IT progressing from a developer/integrator/DBA.
  • Technical skills
  • .NET (C#)
  • PowerShell
  • Microsoft SQL Server (SQL, SSRS, SSIS)
  • Microsoft Power Platform (PowerBI, PowerApps, PowerAutomate)
  • Automation (Robotic Process and/or Test Automation)
  • SharePoint
  • HTML & JavaScript
  • Highly effective at translating new ideas and complex technical concepts to non-technical business stakeholders.
  • Possesses strong business planning, analytical, and conceptual skills.
  • Knowledge of legal industry technologies, including document management, practice management, knowledge management and case management systems highly desirable.
  • Experience in implementing large technology systems.
  • Willingness and flexibility to work non-standard hours.
  • Deals effectively with conflicts and remains calm under pressure.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate effectively at all levels, both verbally and written.
  • Written and spoken English is required; bilingual French is an asset.
  • Achieved ITIL Foundation certification.

Vancouver Salary: $102,564 - $166,667. Salary will be discussed and negotiated during interview and will be based on experience. Why Join Our Team
