Options Community Services is a non-profit organization dedicated to delivering social services across the Southern Fraser region (Surrey, Delta, White Rock and Langley) from early childhood to seniors. Our comprehensive range of programs and services relies on collaborative relationships with individuals, businesses, community groups and government bodies to create focused, effective and responsive resources for the community.
Position Overview
Are you passionate about empowering youth and making a lasting impact on their lives? We’re seeking a dynamic and compassionate Life Skills Facilitator to lead engaging workshops and provide one-on-one support to youth ages 12–18. If you're ready to help young people build confidence, develop practical life skills, and reach their full potential, we’d love to hear from you!
Reporting to the Program Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering interactive workshops and personalized support, focusing on goal-setting, problem-solving, and the development of critical life skills. This role requires building positive relationships with youth, providing case management, and connecting them to relevant internal and external resources. The facilitator will also collaborate with community partners, maintain accurate documentation, and contribute to program development and evaluation, all while participating in ongoing training and team meetings.

Additionally, the candidate must have a current First Aid certificate, a Class 5 Driver’s License, access to a reliable vehicle, and a satisfactory driving abstract. Other relevant education and experience will be considered.
The ideal candidate will have strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent time management and organizational abilities, and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team. They will demonstrate high cultural awareness, sensitivity to diverse populations, and strong judgment and professionalism in supporting youth. Familiarity with youth development, life skills education, and community services is essential, and crisis intervention training or experience on a crisis line is considered an asset.
