Job Summary
The Pantry Chef will be responsible for assisting in meal preparation and food handling in a professional kitchen environment. This role requires a strong understanding of food safety protocols and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced restaurant setting.
Duties
- Assist in food preparation and cooking under the guidance of the head chef
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and storing
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pantry area
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure quality and safety standards are met
Requirements
- Previous experience in the food industry or kitchen environment is preferred
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food preparation methods
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work well in a team environment and take direction from superiors
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00-$18.00 per hour
