Responsibilities
- Assist in meal preparation by following recipes and portioning ingredients accurately.
- Ensure all food handling practices comply with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
- Support cooks and chefs in cooking tasks and food service operations.
- Monitor food quality during preparation to ensure freshness and adherence to standards.
- Participate in inventory management by assisting with stock rotation and reporting shortages.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Follow all food safety protocols to minimize risks of contamination.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food handling, preparation techniques, and safety standards is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration.
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to various kitchen roles as needed.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as required in the kitchen setting.
