About the role
Role: Blockchain Engineer (Smart Contracts + Infrastructure)
Location: Remote | Full-time / Contract
Compensation: Competitive | Contribution | Equity / Token Allocation Opportunities
Reports To: Director of Engineering & CTO
About GENIE AI GENIE is an applied AI lab developing Assistive Intelligence (AI) solutions for businesses, governments, and non-profits. We translate the potential of Generative AI, RPA, Blockchain, and AR/VR into real-world competitive advantage. Our flagship product — ALBIS Experience Studio™ — allows organizations to design and deploy enterprise-grade AI systems across digital, physical, and immersive domains. We're a team of deep thinkers, systems builders, and dreamers focused on creating ethical, intelligent, and self-improving tools for the future of work and society.
About The Product GENIE is currently expanding ALBIS™ into tokenized, resource-backed digital ecosystems, unlocking new economic infrastructure for industries like clean tech, real estate, mining, and manufacturing. Our blockchain layer enables verifiable automation, resource provenance, governance modeling, and real-world asset tokenization (RWA).
Position Overview
As a Blockchain Engineer, you will be at the heart of designing and developing GENIE’s decentralized infrastructure, including smart contract ecosystems, cryptoeconomic mechanisms, and RWA protocols. You’ll work alongside AI engineers, system architects, and product leads to bring intelligent, automated, and verifiable digital systems to life — from tokenized mining operations to decentralized autonomous service systems (DASS).
Key Responsibilities Smart Contract Development
Design, code, and deploy secure smart contracts (Solidity or Vyper) for real-world asset tokenization, automation protocols, and decentralized governance.
Protocol Design & Architecture
Architect scalable, modular blockchain-based systems that integrate seamlessly with ALBIS’ AI and IoT stack. Contribute to tokenomics, governance logic, and decentralized data validation.
Cross-Chain / Layer-2 Integration
Implement cross-chain communication (e.g., LayerZero, Axelar, Wormhole) and optimize transaction logic across EVM-compatible chains and L2s.
Security & Auditing
Ensure code follows the latest security best practices. Coordinate external audits and conduct internal code reviews for mission-critical contracts.
Collaborative Innovation
Work closely with the AI, product, and data teams to co-design intelligent protocols that blend on-chain logic with off-chain cognition.
On-Chain/Off-Chain Bridging
Build bridges to sync real-world events (sensor data, pricing, resource flows) with on-chain triggers using Oracles and automation systems.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience building and deploying smart contracts on Ethereum or similar blockchains
- Proficiency in Solidity, JavaScript/TypeScript, and familiarity with tools like Hardhat, Foundry, or Truffle
- Understanding of decentralized identity, cryptography, and consensus models
- Experience designing token economies or DAO frameworks is a strong plus
- Ability to translate business requirements into modular, secure, and extensible protocol logic
- Familiarity with on-chain + off-chain architecture patterns (e.g., Chainlink, The Graph, IPFS, hybrid computation)
- Comfortable navigating early-stage ambiguity and working in fast-paced, cross-functional environments
Nice To Have
- Experience with Zero-Knowledge Proofs (ZKPs), Rollups, or MPC
- Experience working in CleanTech, PropTech, FinTech, or ESG use cases
- Exposure to resource-backed tokens, carbon markets, or impact protocols
- Contributions to open-source Web3 projects
- Knowledge of Rust and Substrate-based chains (e.g., Polkadot)
What’s In It For You
- Work on frontier blockchain + AI infrastructure powering real-world systems
- Help define and launch industry-first digital assets and governance systems
- Opportunity to shape a token and network architecture from the ground up
- Collaborate with a team of leading AI engineers, economists, and domain experts
- Equity or token incentives based on contribution and roadmap milestones
- Remote-first team culture with flexible hours
Apply Now If you’re excited about building intelligent, decentralized, and ethical systems with real-world utility — GENIE AI wants to hear from you. Submit your GitHub, resume, and a short description of the most meaningful protocol or smart contract you’ve built.
GENIE AI is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome all qualified applicants, regardless of race, religion, gender, identity, disability, or background. We believe the future of intelligence must be inclusive by design.
