Our Scarborough client, who specializes in manufacturing and aftermarket services for comprehensive flow control systems globally, is looking for a Cost Accountant Associate to join their team!

Responsibilities:
- Perform month-end closing procedures, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
- Review and reconcile Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss accounts
- Identify and resolve reconciling items within 90 days
- Conduct Canada sales, cost, and margin reviews
- Track general ledger variances and reclassify as needed
- Support inventory control, including cycle and consignment count processes
- Execute month-end reclassifications and support any additional data preparation
- Analyze intercompany transactions and ensure pricing compliance
- Investigate and follow up on IC customer claims and related credit/debit memos
- Manage general ledger coding in SAP for non-PO payment requests
- Assist with Fixed Assets and rentals tracking and reporting
- Support various financial reporting and analysis tasks (sales, margins, drop shipments)
- Perform other tasks that may be assigned
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2 years of Accounting or Finance experience (Manufacturing Industry)
- Strong understanding of Cost Accounting principles
- Familiarity with GAAP and local statutory laws
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel
- Strong proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Teams)
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Bonus Qualifications:
- Experience working with Oracle, SAP, or BPC financial systems (asset)
- Prior exposure to intercompany accounting practices (asset)
- Experience with inventory and margin analysis (asset)
- Knowledge of transfer pricing policies (TP 2.0)
Compensation and Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 8:00am to 5:00pm
- Pay Rate: $28-31 per hour
