About the role
Role : Risk Management Data Analyst
Contract : 12-month contract (possibility of extension or full-time conversion)
Location : Hybrid – 4 days per week onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in risk, regulatory compliance, data analytics, and cybersecurity processes.
- Support multiple technology groups by identifying and assessing applicable regulations and their impact.
- Provide guidance on regulatory compliance in alignment with the Enterprise Compliance Program (ECP) and Operational Risk Management Framework (ORMF).
- Conduct technology risk assessments and articulate potential risks with actionable mitigation strategies.
- Communicate new and updated regulatory requirements via the Enterprise Regulatory Development Framework (ERDF).
- Maintain and enhance the Tech & Ops Process, Risk and Control (PRC) Framework, Tool, and Control Library to deliver a comprehensive view of the control environment.
- Oversee impact analysis and communication of enterprise-level policy changes to Technology & Operations.
- Deliver strong risk analytics by leveraging data to uncover root causes, perform predictive analysis, and guide risk mitigation strategies.
- Use quantitative and qualitative methods to support risk and compliance management decisions.
Qualifications
Education & Experience :
- Minimum 6-10 years in Technology or Financial Services.
- Graduate or post-graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Math, or Business Management.
- 3+ years of experience in risk management, compliance, or technology risk analysis.
Technical & Analytical Skills :
- Strong data analysis and visualization skills using Excel, PowerPoint, and BI tools such as Power BI.
- Proficiency in desktop data analytics tools and dashboard development.
- Ability to communicate complex technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of data governance and enterprise risk management practices.
Framework & Compliance Knowledge :
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance processes and standards (ECP, ORMF, ERDF).
- Understanding of control frameworks (COSO, NIST, COBIT).
- Working knowledge of cloud technologies and technology risks in financial services.
- Experience reviewing materials for regulatory compliance.
Certifications (Preferred) :
- CRISC, CGEIT, CISA, CISM, PMP, or Cloud Compliance certifications.
Soft Skills :
- Expert-level verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proven collaboration and stakeholder management skills across teams.
- Ability to work in ambiguity and drive data-driven decisions.
