This Position reports to:

Director, Business Unit

Being a Production Supervisor means leading a team in the production department at the Iberville plant (700 Avenue Thomas, St-Jean-sur-Richelieu) for the ELIP division, covering the Microlectric/Receiving & Supply/Super Strut/Joslyn product lines. The role ensures continuous and efficient production operations in accordance with plans, procedures, and quality and safety standards and policies. This position oversees 60% of the evening production floor.

Reporting to the Production & Maintenance Service Manager, you will contribute to transforming parts and raw materials into ABB products on time and cost-effectively, managing resources to meet objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead capacity planning and resource optimization for the production department (15 to 20 employees).
  • Identify gaps in production, propose improvements, and oversee their implementation.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to equipment and technical facilities.
  • Work closely with HR administration to ensure the production team is properly organized, staffed with skilled personnel, and effectively led.
  • Guide, motivate, and develop less experienced team members to help them reach their potential.

Requirements:

  • 2 to 5 years of experience managing unionized staff as a production supervisor, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience working on a production line (supervisory experience is an asset).
  • Proficiency in Excel / Word / PowerPoint.
  • Collaborative, solution-oriented approach, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • College diploma (DEC) in management or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Spoken and written French.
