What You’ll Create And Do As a U.S. Immigration Attorney (Contract Role), you will be part of a collaborative team supporting large and emerging companies and their noncitizen employees and family members. You’ll focus on preparing timely immigration-benefits requests and providing strategic counsel to navigate complex business and immigration challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and file employment-based nonimmigrant and immigrant visa petitions, including PERM applications and adjustment of status requests.
- Develop and implement immigration strategies to support business goals and minimize compliance risks.
- Monitor and analyze changes in immigration laws, regulations, policies, and industry trends.
- Leverage technology and automation to enhance service delivery and improve the client experience.
- Apply feedback and reflection to strengthen self-awareness and professional growth.
- Demonstrate strong analytical thinking and an ability to organize and resolve complex, unstructured issues.
- Utilize a variety of tools and techniques to analyze industry trends and derive meaningful insights.
- Make informed decisions using public and proprietary data, regulatory updates, and benchmarking.
- Communicate clearly and persuasively with clients and team members, adapting messaging to the audience.
- Maintain high ethical standards and uphold the firm’s code of conduct.
Qualifications
- Licensed to practice law in any U.S. state or the District of Columbia.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in business immigration law, with a focus on H-1B, L-1, TN, PERM, employment-based immigrant visa petitions, and adjustment of status applications.
- A strong interest in upskilling for a digital world and embracing technology-driven innovations, with a willingness to learn new tools and explore modern approaches to delivering U.S. immigration legal services.
- Enthusiasm for contributing to large, collaborative teams focused on leveraging innovation and technology to elevate the client experience.
