Join a Secure and Dynamic Operations Environment in the Heart of Toronto!
Our client, a leading institution in secure financial operations, is seeking an Operations Agent to join their team at their Toronto Operations Centre. This is an exciting full-time contract, on-site opportunity for detail-oriented individuals who thrive in structured, high-security environments and are looking to grow within a nationally respected organization.
Benefits & Perks:
- Contract Position – 1 year to start with a high probability of extension
- 37.5 hours per week
- 5 days per week in Downtown Toronto

Responsibilities:
- Process, reconcile, and handle banknotes using high-speed equipment in a dual-custody environment
- Prepare, ship, receive, and securely manage physical currency and associated materials
- Maintain strict control standards to ensure the integrity of assets and operational security
- Examine currency parcels and assist in resolving operational issues as they arise
- Accurately input and manage data across various operating systems
- Participate in the destruction of banknotes following rigorous procedures
- Contribute to team-based continuous improvement initiatives
- Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and bending
- Adapt to varying work schedules and support occasional overtime needs
Qualifications:
- High school diploma, with strong math skills
- Experience in cash handling, banking, retail, or shipping/receiving preferred
- Physically capable of lifting parcels (5–24 kg) and standing for extended periods
- Must be eligible for Reliability Clearance (minimum 5 years of residency in Canada)
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to procedures
- Excellent teamwork and oral communication skills
- Flexible and adaptable in task rotations and changing workflows
- Proactive and solution-oriented, with a focus on operational excellence
Nice to Have:
- Experience with high-speed currency processing systems
- Familiarity with ISO standards
- Prior experience handling banknotes in a secure setting
