About the role

Children’s Centre Thunder Bay works together with families, caregivers and a community of partners to make a real difference in the quality of life of children and youth. We are an accredited, not-for-profit organization providing treatment and support services for children and youth, from birth to 18 years, who are experiencing behavioural, emotional, developmental or social difficulties. The Centre is currently seeking to fill the following position:

One Full-Time Program Manager

Responsibilities:

Reporting to a Director and working as part our Management-leadership team and Clinical Management team, the Program Manager is responsible for the development, delivery and evaluation of specific clinical services and programs offered by the Centre in a manner that is consistent with the Centre's mission, values, strategic plan, philosophy and principles of service.

The Program Manager oversees and ensures the development, delivery and evaluation of programs and services for infants, children, youth and their families who access services at the Centre. These include a wide range of child and youth mental health, substance use health, child development, parenting and community development services.

Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge Required:

The Program Manager position requires:

  • Masters Degree in Human Services from a recognized and accredited university and a minimum 5 years of experience in clinical practice and/or supervision and/or leadership.
  • Registration and/or affiliation with the appropriate professional College.
  • Proven leadership, management and supervisory knowledge and skills as well as a working knowledge of the legislation governing Children’s Services, Human Rights and Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Previous experience and expertise in the delivery of assessment, consultation, and treatment services to children, adolescents and their families.
  • The ability to effectively manage and provide strong clinical and administrative leadership to a multi-disciplinary team is required.
  • An ability to be on-call, travel to District, and work flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends. A valid Ontario Driver's Licence is required
