About the role
The Housekeeper is responsible for ensuring that all our accommodation units and common spaces are clean and sanitized for when guests arrive. This position reports to the Housekeeping Coordinator and indirectly to the Operations Manager. This position is covering for a maternity leave.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Demonstrate strong support to the shared values of Haliburton Forest: safe, collaborative, professional, productive, and proud
- Follow legislation and standards of: Workplace Violence and Harassment policies, AODA, Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Cleaning accommodation units (making beds, washrooms, dishes, kitchen, etc.)
- Washing and folding laundry
- Cleaning common spaces (comfort station, main office, etc.)
- Deep cleaning in the off seasons
- Keeping clean and safe workspaces at all times.
- Assisting with Base Camp duties (campsite cleaning, etc.)
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1 year work experience in the housekeeping industry
- Current First aid and CPR would be an asset
- Ability to balance competing priorities
- Positive, constructive attitude
- Collaborative with good communication skills
- Personable
- Enjoys a fast-paced busy work environment
- G2 or G driver’s licence

SCHEDULE:
- Part-time hours
- Weekend work will be required given the nature of the business
- Typical work schedule is 8:00 am to 5:00 pm but can vary from week to week
- Expected hours: 24 - 40 per week
COMPENSATION, BENEFITS & PERKS:
