Muiríosa Foundation seeks applications from energetic and enthusiastic individuals to join our Westmeath/Meath Services to work as part of a larger management team based in our Mullingar offices. The successful person will be working as part of an innovative management team that is working in partnership with Leadership experts to deliver sustainable change in our practice, and in turn improve the outcomes for the individuals we support.

Leading teams will play a key role and it is expected that your leadership skills will deliver positive change for all. The focus of this role will be on driving change and delivering positive outcomes. The role will suit candidates with strong organisational and management skills seeking to progress in their careers.

The role incorporates Person in Charge responsibilities, which requires a management qualification and experience in managing teams.

Person Specification

  • The ability to lead teams in driving forward the ethos of Muiriosa Foundation – keeping people we support at the centre of service provision at all times by promoting self-determination and self-direction.
  • Have excellent interpersonal, planning, data management, IT and organisational skills with the ability to work on own initiative.
  • Expected to maintain up to date and accurate records to ensure a high standard of care and support is provided to support each individual at all times.
  • Be flexible and capable of managing competing priorities within their workload.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the following skills:

  • Have Qualification appropriate to the role e.g., Social Care, Nursing or other relevant qualification.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a management or supervisory role in the area of health or social care
  • Recognised Management Course
  • Excellent communication skills to include Leadership, Mentoring, Support and Supervision.
  • Have a robust knowledge and understanding of HIQA standards and regulatory requirements as per the Health Act 2007.
  • Full current manual driving license & own transport
