GRAPHIC DESIGNER AND VIDEO CONTENT CREATOR

To continue our growth and ensure customer satisfaction, we are looking for a Graphic Designer and Video Content Creator with a minimum of 5 years’ experience to fill a new position in Vast-Auto Distribution’s Marketing and Communications Department.

Your contribution!

The Graphic Designer and Video Content Creator is responsible for creating and producing marketing material across a wide range of digital and print media, including product and pricing leaflets, catalogues, packaging, signage, POP material, promotional material, landing pages, digital ads, marketing promotions and much more.

More specifically, the candidate will perform the following main functions (examples):

  • Actively participate in the development of creative ideas and propose content related to the various projects and specific images in the company’s brand portfolio.
  • Design and layout leaflets, brochures, logos, signs, POP material, catalogues, advertisements, annual reports, publicity, calendars, product sheets, training material and other communication media.
  • Design digital material as required (ads, animations, banners, icons, web pages, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with brand graphic standards.
  • Maintain a solid knowledge of the latest and best practices in print and digital material design.
  • Design animated videos, video editing and adding special effects or animations.
  • Provide relevant information on creative design and make recommendations on improvements, new content, new initiatives/opportunities, etc. that will help the company grow.
  • Photo research, photomontage and image processing.
  • Participate in special departmental projects under the direction of supervisors, managers, directors or vice-president.
  • Manage the production schedule for projects independently, working with marketing teams to meet deadlines.
  • Set up and manage a filing system for brand files and graphic assets.

  • You are rigorous (great attention to detail) and able to work autonomously.
  • You’re willing to travel to various locations as needed, especially for shoots and special projects (driver’s license and vehicle required).

Required qualifications?

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in graphic design, both print and digital (portfolio required).
  • Bachelor’s degree or D.E.C. in graphic design/graphics/computer graphics or equivalent fields.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Adobe Creative Cloud software suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro and After Effect).
  • In-depth knowledge of social networks and their optimal formats (mainly YouTube, LinkedIn and Facebook).
  • Experience in video shooting (commercials, interviews, events, products, etc.) is an asset.
  • Able to set up and manage a digital asset management (DAM) system.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Use of English is required daily to communicate with co-workers elsewhere in Canada.
