Reporting to the Shop Supervisor and/or Lead Hand Shipping Receiving, the Shipper/Receiver is responsible for unloading materials, preparing materials for shipping, filling work orders, and monitoring inventory.
Key Position Functions
- Unload, sort, and inspect incoming material.
- Prepare outgoing material for shipment.
- Ensure proper paper work flow of Purchase Orders and packing slips.
- Monitor and maintain strong inventory records.
- Organize and maintain the work area; including maintenance of equipment, product storage containers, and racking.
- Assist with wellhead assemblies (as required).
- Operate forklifts and overhead cranes to complete work duties.
- Ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures.
- Participate in rotational on call schedule.
- Assist with shop housekeeping and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Preferred Candidates Will Possess a Combination Of The Following
- High School Diploma.
- 1 to 2 years of related shipping and receiving experience.
- Strong computer skills with experience using SAP preferred.
- Inventory management an asset.
- Mechanical assembly/repair experience an asset.
- Forklift experience is an asset.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Strong communication (oral and written), organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Detail oriented, strong work ethic, and self-motivated.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Valid driver’s license.
