We are currently seeking am ITAD Field Technician & Logistics Coordinator on-site in Oakville, ON to become valuable members of our production team. What to expect in this role on a given day:
Field Technician (ITAD & Lease Return)
- Perform on-site decommissioning, data wiping, and packaging of IT equipment (laptops, desktops, servers).
- Audit and inventory equipment for accuracy against lease return lists or client-provided documentation.
- Perform basic diagnostic and computer technical work at client locations
- Operate shredding equipment to securely destroy hard drives, media, and other data-bearing devise in accordance with security protocols. Ensure compliance with data security standards and proper handling of sensitive equipment.
Driver Responsibilities:
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport IT equipment between client sites, warehouses, and vendor locations.
- Load and unload equipment, ensuring proper packaging and secure transportation.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness, perform basic inspections, and coordinate maintenance as needed.
- Ensure proper documentation and chain of custody for pickups and deliveries.
Logistics Coordination:
- Schedule and coordinate equipment pickups and deliveries with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain detailed tracking of asset movement using internal systems and spreadsheets.
- Generate and file shipment documentation, including bills of landing, inventory lists, and lease return forms.
Working Conditions:
- Work will be conducted at client sites, warehouses and driving.
- May require early morning starts, overtime and travel depending on client location.
- Occasional interprovincial and cross-border travel may be required.
- Use of safety equipment and compliance with data security protocols is required at all times
You will be a great fit for this position if you:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of experience in ITAD, IT support, logistics or field services
- Valid Class DZ driver’s license, or willing to obtain, with clean driving record.
- Familiarity with IT hardware and basic troubleshooting or decommissioning procedures.
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50lbs and perform work that may include standing, walking and bending
- Must be legally eligible to travel to the United States.
