OREA’s Mission:

Job Description:

We are seeking a strong Senior Manager, Group Benefits to lead and support the operations, growth, and integrity of our REALTOR® Wellness Program. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the program and providing subject matter expertise for the design, implementation, and enhancement of group benefits programs covering almost 100,000 OREA members. We are looking for someone with benefits management experience at the corporate level to navigate and coordinate our complex program with various stakeholders.

This is an exciting opportunity to combine your knowledge, experience, and skillset to position yourself as a subject matter expert and strategic partner for group insurance and health benefits.

Main Responsibilities:

·      Lead and manage the implementation of benefits plans and programs that provide optimal value to OREA Members.

·      Evaluate the effectiveness of plans and programs, including the performance of service providers.

·      Work independently, investigate, and resolve issues, analyse benefits utilization data and develop recommendations for Program design changes

·      Stay current on benefits trends, maintain up-to-date benefit plan documentation (contracts, booklets, and other resources), as well as develop a comprehensive benefits communication strategy

·      Provide expert advice and interpretation in support of benefit programs, leveraging your deep expert knowledge of third-party administration and insurance carriers’ operations, plan administration, outsourcing operations, contracts, financial arrangement, plan designs, scope of service, technologies and interfaces

·      Provide expertise and direction to leadership in support of collective bargaining, and in the resolution of complex service issues and Member escalations to ensure consistency and integration of the Program

·      Provide program management across internal teams to track progress and follow up on action items

·      Create and deliver various data reporting, deck updates, dashboards, and training sessions regularly

·      Participate in and provide input on the development of the overall Program strategy

·      Assist in reporting to Board of Directors, Finance and Audit Committee, and as required to the leadership on the ORWP activities and related performance measures

·      Email and phone correspondence with Member Boards

Qualifications and Skills

·      Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Finance, HR or a related field

·      Minimum of 10 years of working experience in the benefits field with specific experience in design and implementation of new benefits programs at corporate level

·      Experience with Contractual Benefits Plan designs

·      Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills

·      Ability to build relationships at all levels and be able to work individually or in a team environment

·      Ability to write policies, procedures and reports

·      Ability to facilitate and focus working groups

·      Ability to design and develop training and presentation materials

·      Maintains strict confidentiality

·    Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and frequent deadlines

·    Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) with the ability to compose and create a variety of letters, reports and presentations

·      Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) or Group Benefit Associate (GBA) designation is desirable
