Position Description This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of pulp products to customers while providing excellent customer service. The Coordinator acts as a key liaison between the mill’s production, sales, and shipping departments, as well as external logistics providers and customers.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and ensure the timely delivery of pulp to customers while optimizing and minimizing freight costs through effective logistics planning.
- Develop, implement, and maintain standardized procedures, policies, and efficient processes within the Pulp Warehouse to ensure consistency and operational excellence.
- Assess and manage risks associated with the safe operation of the Pulp Warehouse.
- Develop and maintain an operational plan for the pulp warehouse with ongoing cost management and budget control.
- Report production and quality data to sales, serving as the primary liaison between the Mercer Sales and Logistics teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Address and resolve customer complaints promptly and effectively, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
- Assist the Machine Room Operations Specialist with felt inventory control, shutdown planning, machine production loss accounting and other duties as required.
- Other Duties as assigned.
Qualifications And Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a logistics position is considered an asset.
- Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Word, Excel, Email, and G-Suite. Experience with SAP is an asset.
- Experience with ISO9001 Quality Management System is an asset.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate activities and resolve priority conflicts across various departments, ensuring safe and efficient implementation of work plans.
- Capable of handling multiple tasks with ease in a fast-paced environment.
Salary The salary for this position is $80,000.00 – $120,000.00 Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
