Compensation: $150/hour
Type: Independent Contractor (At-Will)
Commitment: Minimum 20 hours per week
Duration: Initial 2-month contract, extendable based on performance
About the Role
A leading AI research organization is seeking experienced finance professionals to contribute to a research project focused on integrating financial expertise into advanced AI systems. This is a flexible, remote opportunity to work on cutting-edge problems with a team at the forefront of AI.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply domain-specific financial expertise to support research and development projects
- Review, validate, and contribute to the creation of structured financial content
- Ensure technical accuracy and depth in areas such as corporate finance, investment analysis, and accounting principles
- Collaborate asynchronously with other finance professionals and technical teams
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience at a top firm in investment banking or private equity
- Additional experience in one or more of the following is a plus:
- Venture capital or growth equity
- Corporate FP&A
- Infrastructure or energy project finance
- Real estate acquisitions or REITs
- SaaS finance
- Hands-on experience with major financial transactions such as M&A or IPOs
- Deep understanding of finance and accounting fundamentals
- Strong written communication skills and attention to detail
Work Structure
- Fully remote and asynchronous
- Work around your own schedule
- Minimum commitment of 20 hours per week
- Initial 2-month contract with potential extension based on performance
Compensation and Payment
- $150/hour
- Paid weekly via Stripe Connect
- Self-tracked hours, invoiced weekly
- Independent contractor engagement with full schedule flexibility
Vetting Process
- Brief 10-minute behavioral interview discussing prior deal experience
- Short technical assessment (under 30 minutes) focused on financial expertise
- Paid assessment post-offer, administered by the client
