Description:

DYSL.IO is a Canadian assistive tech startup creating inclusive AI-powered tools for neurodiverse individuals. We're seeking a graduate student (Master’s or PhD) for a research collaboration to support the development of AXON.AI , our flagship productivity and accessibility app.

This opportunity is ideal for students pursuing a:

  • Master’s in Educational Psychology, Learning Sciences, HCI, Neuroscience, or UX Design
  • PhD in Cognitive Science, Inclusive Design, Educational Technology, or a related field

The role can be structured as a thesis, capstone project, directed study, or research practicum , and offers the chance to apply your academic training in a real-world, high-impact project.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct applied UX research focused on neurodiverse users (e.g., dyslexia, ADHD)
  • Assist in usability testing, accessibility reviews, and data collection
  • Analyze qualitative feedback and translate findings into actionable design insights
  • Collaborate with the founding team on user-centered features and product strategy
  • (Optional) Co-author research summaries, white papers, or grant proposals

Preferred Skills:

  • Background in educational psychology, HCI, UX research, or cognitive sciences
  • Experience with Figma , user interviews, and qualitative data analysis
  • Strong interest in assistive technology and inclusive design
  • Ability to work independently with flexibility in a startup environment
