Job Title: Marketing Student

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Marketing Student to join our dynamic team in the Halifax office. In this crucial role, you will provide essential support to our marketing initiatives as we implement our revamped media strategy. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a significant rebranding effort and gain hands-on experience in digital marketing, content creation, and brand management within the home care sector.
Responsibilities:
● Brand Relaunch Support:
- Assist in the transition to the "Earth Angels Nova Scotia" brand by supporting the consolidation of local Facebook pages under a single umbrella.
- Contribute to the implementation of consistent province-wide visuals, voice, and messaging, adhering to the comprehensive brand guide.
● Content Creation & Management:
- Utilize centralized content tools such as Canva Pro for content design, and potentially AI tools like ChatGPT for generating ideas and drafting content.
- Assist in scheduling content using platforms like Loomly, Later+ or CoSchedule.
- Support the creation of diversified content, including stories from caregivers, tips for seniors, and family testimonials.
- Help develop short-form video content for platforms like YouTube Shorts and TikTok.
- Assist with the creation of Facebook/Instagram carousels and LinkedIn awareness posts.
- Support the development of SEO-rich blog content, potentially using tools like SEMrush or Surfer SEO.
- Help prepare biweekly blog posts focused on common questions and practical advice.
- Assist with monthly local story or event highlights and thematic campaigns (e.g., Fall Prevention Month).
● Social Media Engagement:
- Support the daily management of Facebook and Instagram, including sharing updates, interactive content, and responding to comments.
- Assist in building professional networks on LinkedIn with healthcare professionals and referral partners.
● Website & SEO Support:
- Contribute to efforts to improve website SEO optimization.
- Assist with tasks related to the lead-generation funnel on the website.
● Administrative Support:
- Maintain accurate records related to marketing activities.
- Support the Branch Manager with various administrative and operational duties to ensure efficient office function.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional office environment.
Qualifications:
● Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
● Strong interest in digital marketing, social media, and content creation.
● Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
● Familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok).
● Excellent organizational and time management skills with a strong attention to detail.
● Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
● Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
● A proactive and problem-solving attitude.
● Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
● Genuine commitment to contributing to a compassionate home care service.
● Must reside in proximity to Halifax and be willing to work in the office.
