Student - Application and Integration
About the role
Job Description The Application and Integration team is looking to hire one student to help supporting the current application, devices and users. Students may be asked to support a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:
- Participating in daily onsite support and maintenance tasks
- Participating in devices and system troubleshooting sessions
- Documenting current processes and providing future state recommendations
- Data quality and end-user testing
- Developing and/or updating education materials
- Assisting with the development of presentations or other materials
- Hands-on support to staff during go-lives or downtimes
- Support of other project, departmental, or organizational activities
What must you have?
- Currently enrolled at a Canadian post-secondary institution with a focus on Information Technology and/or Computer Science/Engineering
What else do you bring?
- Strong computer science background
- Basic knowledge of workstation/mobile/server technologies (Windows 7/10, OSx, Android, apple IOS, Linux, Unix)
- Good IT troubleshooting skills
- Have strong time management, organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and support multiple projects and prioritize conflicting priorities
- Ability to identify issues, risks and concerns and escalate/resolve as appropriate
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to think creatively with a focus on results and outcomes
- High degree of initiative and ability to meet multiple principal accountabilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- You may be required to work at any site of Mackenzie Health (MRHH or CVH).
