Elk Island Public Schools (EIPS) is one of the largest school divisions in Alberta, serving the education needs of approximately 17,950 students in 42 schools. EIPS is recruiting a temporary part-time Bus Monitor (SouthPointe School, Fort Saskatchewan) with our Student Transportation department.
Our Student Transportation department transports over 9,000 students, operates 163 buses, and over 500 bus routes on a daily basis. Students are transported directly or through transfer sites throughout the school division. Student Transportation department is located at our Central Office.
- Commencing August 27, 2025
- Ending June 23, 2026
- SouthPointe School, Fort Saskatchewan
- Hours of work are Monday to Friday, mornings from 8 am to 8:30 am and afternoons 3:05 pm to 3:35 pm pm. The days of work are based on the 10-month school calendar. Please note hours will change to accommodate early dismissal the first Wednesday of each month (one hour earlier).
- Daily rate $50.45
- Open to Internal and External Applicants

Duties and responsibilities will include:
- supervising students with bus transfers between locations
- assisting special needs students making bus transfers
The successful candidate will have:
- excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy working with students
- experience working in or volunteering in a school setting is an asset
- bus driving experience would be an asset
- Behavior Management training is an asset
