About this position

The Charter Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth through the development and management of strong customer relationships, delivering tailored charter solutions, and providing exceptional service throughout the sales cycle. This role oversees the end-to-end charter sales process, including generating quotes for aircraft availability, negotiating contracts, and securing bookings.

The Charter Sales Manager also tracks sales activity, monitors client needs, and maintains accurate records to ensure seamless operations. Regular reporting on sales performance, customer trends, and market dynamics is a key function of the role, supporting both strategic decision-making and continuous service improvement.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Must be able to perform, but not be limited to, the following duties and responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Support

  • Participate actively in the Company Safety Management System program, demonstrating knowledge of safety responsibilities.
  • Manage expenses and revenue budgets, including monthly financial analysis.
  • Be available on a 24-hour basis as needed and travel as required.

Sales & Business Development

  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to maximize charter sales revenue.
  • Prepare, review, charter aircraft quotes, including Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Quote (RFQ), and Requests for
  • Proposal (RFP) responses and contracts.
  • Represent Canadian North professionally at conferences, trade shows, and promotional events.
  • Document, implement, and maintain charter sales policies, procedures, and systems

Operational Coordination

  • Collaborate closely with operations, dispatch, finance, and other departments to ensure accurate aircraft quoting, availability, and seamless charter execution.
  • Develop partnerships with suppliers to support charter operations.
  • Provide input into fleet planning and manage ad hoc charter requests to optimize customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

  • Perform additional tasks as assigned to support business objectives.

Skills and Qualifications:

Include, but not limited to, the following minimum skills and qualifications:

  • A diploma or degree in business, aviation management, sales, or a related field is typically required.
    • Specialized training in aviation operations, aircraft performance, and pricing is highly beneficial.
    • Familiarity with charter management systems and quoting tools is essential.
      Training in sales and customer relationship management are valuable assets. On-the-job training specific to company procedures, aircraft types, and operational requirements is also necessary.
  • 2-3 years of previous relevant experience
  • Proven ability to build and maintain customer relationships, negotiate contracts, and close sales.
  • Strong knowledge of charter quoting processes and aviation operational requirements.
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision and make sound decisions within delegated authority.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with experience guiding and coordinating teams.
  • Ability to communicate in Inuktitut is an asset.
  • Ability to obtain and retain a Restricted Area Identity Card in accordance with the Airport Restricted Area Access Clearance Program regulated by Transport Canada
