Responsibilities Job Summary: Entrepreneurial sales position that is focused on selling into the hospital primarily with some focus in Labor and Delivery portfolio and Incontinence portfolios. The role is identifying new customer opportunities and driving growth within existing customer base. It will be important to develop strong relationship building skills, while also being able to support clinically technical product portfolios.
Essential Functions & Accountabilities:
- Achieve territory sales objectives in assigned geographical area by developing and executing an effective sales plan by actively managing the territory with a growth mindset.
- Develops leads for new business in all area/channels of opportunity.
- Travels throughout assigned territory to call on hospitals, physician offices, and birth centers, and provide clinical/product technical support.
- Maintain pricing integrity & contractual agreements that are consistent with company policies.
- Successfully complete training requirements of the products and the clinical & surgical applications within service portfolio; maintain proficiency in current product, market, and disease state knowledge across the product portfolio; includes knowledge of competing products and services.
- Effectively leverage data analytics to enable territory management efficiency and inform decisions.
- Represents CSI at local, regional, and national meetings and conventions as required.
- Ensures that all administrative tasks (i.e., training modules, expense reports, business plans, database/CRMs, Power BI updates, etc.) are completed promptly and accurately.
Travel:
- 50% Travel; Overnight and occasional weekend trade show travel.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of the medical device arena, preferably with a concentration in women’s healthcare.
- Comprehension of the Region’s diverse healthcare systems.
- Aptitude for engaging and motivating by providing product & sales training to company partners.
- Effective territory planning.
- Large geographical territory management experience.
- Ability to collaborate across a matrix organization.
- Customer focused.
- Results oriented.
- Self-starter with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal day-to-day management.
Work Environment:
- Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Requires traveling in automobile and some flight travel throughout territory and customer facilities.
- Passing of background check which may include verification of prior employment, criminal conviction history, educational and driving records.
- Appropriate dress attire aligned with customer call settings & facilities.
Experience:
- 3 - 5 years of documented and verifiable successful medical device sales, preferably in Woman’s Health.
- Experienced in negotiating pricing agreements with regional buying groups and hospital stakeholders.
- Key opinion leader and professional organizations engagement.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
