Role : Training Systems Analyst

Location : Calgary Alberta T2P 5H1 (HYBRID)

  • The Diversity, Talent and Training team in Human Resources is looking to add a team member in Calgary to support the Training Centre of Expertise. The Training Services and Systems team is seeking a talented Training Systems Analyst in Calgary, AB who has knowledge and experience in Learning Management Systems (LMS). This individual has the proven ability to learn new technology; problem solve effectively and work collaboratively on a team.
  • Reporting to the Team Lead, Training Services & Systems – this role will be part of a team of technical analysts supporting our Learning Management Systems. The ideal candidate will have proven efficiency in learning and quickly developing technical system skills and the proven ability to think innovatively, solve problems effectively, and train others.

What you’ll do

  • Maintain and administer Training technologies as an effective and trusted system of Training deployment and record
  • Diagnosing issues in Workday Learning and SuccessFactors Learning Management System (LMS) and providing solutions
  • Conduct User and Instructor Audits to ensure LMS and supporting system feeds are accurate and up to date
  • Provide troubleshooting and governance support to LMS analysts in HR Employee Services team
  • Maintenance of communication with our community of Learning administrator roles
  • Ensure Workday and SuccessFactors LMS administration documentation is available and current
  • Define, develop, and share Training reports for the business
  • Create and maintain POWER BI dashboards for corporate consumption. Provide timely, clear, and concise tools and reporting that enables the business and Training Centre of Expertise to make decisions
  • Manage LMS release cycle and technology updates as required
  • Monitor user experience of reports and continuous improvement Monitors user experience of reports and continuous improvement
  • Quality check and administer items via the LMS’ to appropriate audiences
  • Create, review and update system operating procedures and define implementation of each

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Systems or related experience/certification
  • High competency with Microsoft products including Excel
  • Proven strong ability to learn new technology to understand how applications are configured and speak to one another
  • Confident in abilities to amass an in-depth knowledge of system functionality
  • Adaptable and flexible in response to shifting priorities or demands
  • Application of critical and systems thinking to propose solutions
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada by way of Canadian Citizenship, Permanent Residency, or a valid work permit
  • Exhibit a safety mindset, in a professional and personal setting
  • Proficient organizational skills to manage multiple projects at once

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical Support experience in Workday and Learning and Success Factor LMS
  • Proven track record in technical problem solving in LMS
  • Experience with Power Bi. Power Query, Power Automate, Data Lakes
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and problem-solving capability
  • Strong presentation, interpersonal, and written communication skills
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate and interact with other groups
  • Resilient and self-motivated
  • Passion for excellence, backed by a track record of accountability and integrity
  • Flexible, self-reflective, and adaptable to change

This position requires candidates to :

  • Have and maintain a valid driver's license and provide a driver's abstract (record) for review
  • Travel to field or other business locations for temporary assignments, meetings or training which may involve some overnight stays away from home
  • Have applicable travel documentation (passport) for cross border travel
