About the role
Description: The Social Worker II (SW) provides services to clients and families including psychosocial assessment, crisis intervention, education, treatment, advocacy, resource finding, consultation, and discharge planning. The SW II is responsible for the provision of services in accordance with established standards, and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies and procedures of Covenant Health. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the HSAA Paramedical Professional/Technical Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications:
Required Qualifications: Bachelor Degree in Social Work required. Active registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW) required.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of related experience required. Understanding of community integration and resources. Knowledge of relevant legislation. Knowledge of challenges in providing supports with limited resources. Position may include significant periods of time sitting while interviewing patients/families, computer work etc. Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Ability to participate in sensitive and challenging patient situations and diverse situations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Geriatric or Long-Term Care experience. Connect Care experience.
