We specialize in the innovative design and manufacture of cast and fabricated iron and steel products for the mining and resources sector, and we also expertly serve rail and transit, energy, structural and industrial casting and defence markets.

The Journeyman Millwright will be performing various mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and HVAC system repairs and installation of production equipment and Bradken buildings.

Role Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot various equipment, including welding machines, CNC machines, lathes etc.
  • Perform service at various locations of the company within Edmonton
  • Read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, blueprints, and schematics of equipment
  • Build and/or modify mechanical equipment based on drawings and feedback from our Engineering Group
  • Maintain accurate notes on all equipment repairs and modifications
  • Keep an accurate account of project assembly hours and materials
  • Work in a safe and efficient manner
  • Work with the Engineering Group to optimize mechanical projects to increase reliability and reduce costs/assembly time

Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Knowledge

Qualifications:

  • Holds Journeyman Millwright ticket

Experience:

  • Previous experience in metal manufacturing environment an asset.
  • Strong commitment to safety procedures and guidelines.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Troubleshoot various equipment
  • CNC machines, lathes, etc.
  • Experience in reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical drawings, blueprints, and schematics of equipment
  • Knowledge on how to build and/or modify mechanical equipment based on drawings
  • Keeping accurate notes on all equipment repairs and modifications
  • Having a very good safety record
  • Experience working with the Engineering Group to optimize mechanical projects to increase reliability and reduce costs/assembly time

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Hand tools (wrenches, grinders, cutters, drill, impact gun, etc.)
  • Hydraulic jack, Saw and other industrial tools
  • Forklift
  • Overhead Crane

Shift Available:

Monday to Friday 7:30AM- 4:00PM
