Summary
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Buyer is responsible for procurement, planning, and selecting suppliers for the best cost, quality, delivery, and service.
Job Responsibilities
- Source and purchase materials, components, and services for electronics manufacturing in alignment with company goals.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate pricing and terms, and evaluate supplier performance to ensure quality and reliability.
- Monitor inventory levels and work closely with production and planning teams to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings through strategic purchasing.
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline supply chain processes and resolve supply chain disruptions.
- Ensure adherence to industry regulations, company policies, and quality standards, maintaining accurate records.
- Analyze market trends, pricing, and demand forecasts to provide recommendations that support the company's operational and financial objectives.
Minimum Requirements
- Experience in purchasing within the electronics manufacturing or a similar industry.
- Strong understanding of electronic components, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Proven negotiation and contract management skills.
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and supply chain software.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
