As an Inventory Analyst you will lead the forecasting and inventory planning process for your assigned client group as well as collaborate with customers from across the corporation to maximize inventory availability in the most efficient manner. Primary duties include:
- Forecast, plan, and manage material supply requirements for a variety of commodities.
- Determine Item Stocking Plan and coordinate end of life cycle activities.
- Maintain databases detailing the various elements and aspects of inventory.
- Coordinate with interested parties to ensure inventory performance is consistent with user needs and program commitments.
- Ensure logical integrity of the inventory management system.
- Prepare statistical reports on a regular basis for inventory planning and for customers as required.
- Coordinate and support customer inventory requirements.
- Research PeopleSoft Financials and Supply Chain Management (FSCM) performance and report on areas of improvements for system implementation, development and enhancement and identify areas of concern.
- Lead forecasting and planning meetings with business units to ensure planned maintenance support and seasonal procurements are forecasted in advance of all campaigns.
- Make recommendations for product consolidation, alternate sources and increased vendor performance.
Qualifications
- A completed 1 year certificate or diploma in Operations, Business Management, Logistics or a related field.
- At least 2 years' experience performing Inventory Analysis in a computerized environment.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required.
- Experience working with PeopleSoft FSCM or equivalent software will be considered an asset.
- You have exceptional communication skills along with well-developed presentation skills.
- Well-developed research and analytical skills accompanied by demonstrated organizational skills
Pre-employment Requirements
- A security clearance would be required.

- Successful applicants must provide proof of qualifications.
Workstyle: This position may be eligible to work from home for at least part of the time as one of several flexible work options available to City employees. These arrangements depend on the operational requirements of the role, employee suitability, and are subject to change based on operational needs and corporate direction.

Compensation: Pay Grade 8 $37.77 - 50.50 per hour
Days of Work: This position typically works a 5 day work week, with 1 day off in each 3 week cycle.
Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week
