Senior Security Systems Technician

The Role:
We are seeking a Senior Technician with significant experience in the installation, service, and troubleshooting of security systems. You’ll play a hands-on role in fieldwork while mentoring junior technicians, helping with complex installations, and supporting the continued growth of our technical excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Install and service alarm, camera, access control, and ULC fire monitoring systems
- Troubleshoot and repair technical issues on-site
- Lead installations, ensuring jobs are completed on time and to standard
- Mentor and guide junior technicians and apprentices
- Coordinate with project managers, sales team, and clients
- Keep accurate documentation and service records
- Ensure compliance with safety and electrical standards
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on installation/service experience in security systems
- Deep knowledge of alarm panels (DSC, Honeywell, etc.), CCTV/IP systems, and access control
- Familiarity with ULC fire monitoring systems and related code requirements
- Valid Ontario driver’s license and clean driving abstract
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities
- Working at Heights, WHMIS, and other safety certifications (preferred)
- Police clearance needed
