About the role

Overview As the R&D Coordinator for PepsiCo Foods Canada as part of the Global R&D organization, you will have the critical role to support the R&D team and leadership to deliver a diverse portfolio of snack products. You will support the R&D Director / Excomm representative, the Canadian R&D leadership team and a broader team of product developers and scientists through department planning, budget management, specification and data review, and administrative support. You will be a critical member of the team and deliver a broad range of tasks. Successful candidates are independent workers, self-motivated to learn new skills and flexible in executing their daily activities.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the R&D team in the development of the execution plan of the R&D calendar. This will include working across broad cross-functional teams.
  • Take an active role in finding process improvements to drive increased efficiency in the R&D team
  • Leading Budget process for R&D, including PO generation and invoice management in Oracle and other systems, T&E reconciliations, quarterly reports
  • Participate in team meetings and take a leadership role in calendar planning for the team to ensure visibility to key dates and meeting requirement, support these meetings with invites, food/drink, and any other support requirements
  • Serve to support the department with sending and receiving product samples, shipping/receiving
  • Manage calendars, travel, and expenses for Directors as appropriate
  • Managing Onboarding for new Associates - prepare checklists, setup associates with internal requirements and paperwork, and schedule meetings for new hires

Qualifications

  • Min. 3-5 years relevant business or technical experience
  • College or university education
  • Experience in managing projects, working independently and dealing with cross functional groups
  • Communicate Effectively with ability to deal with ambiguity and to provide clear direction to team
  • Good business sense, resourceful, innovative and responsive to change
  • Excellent organizer to ensure activities are brought together to meet specific deadlines / goals
  • Attention to detail, strong organization skill and experience managing budgets
  • Takes Initiative to find ways to get better results, aptitude for process and ability to optimize
  • Proficient in Power Point, MS Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Computer literate and able to quickly pick up new systems and processes for back-end support
