Job Summary
Residence Inn by Marriott Mississauga is searching for a dedicated and detail-oriented Rooms Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and order within our hotel, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests and staff. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Only candidates that have a positive customer service attitude will be considered. Candidates must be available weekend and weekdays.
Responsibilities
- Create daily room assignments for room attendants
- Perform thorough inspection of guest rooms, hallways and common areas.
- Update status of rooms in property management system
- Report and follow up on any maintenance related issues and/or safety hazards
- Ensure proper key control measures are in place and adhered to
- Cleaning of assigned areas, including guest rooms, hallways, and common areas.
- Ensure all surfaces are sanitized and free from dust, dirt, and debris.
- Replace linens and towels as needed, ensuring that all items are clean and well-presented.
- Restock supplies such as toiletries and cleaning products in guest rooms and public areas
- Follow established cleaning protocols and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist with special cleaning projects as directed by management.
Skills
- Previous hospitality or cleaning experience is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and staff.
