Durabuilt Windows & Doors Inc. is seeking to hire buyer – purchaser to join the team at 10920 178 Street, Edmonton, AB, T5S 1R7. The candidate must be willing to join a team environment to strengthen and grow the current crew with a positive attitude and character.
We offer:
- Wage: $36.54 per hour
- Hours per week: 30 hours per week
- Vacancy: 1
Terms of employment:
- Full time permanent position
- Job start date: as soon as possible
- Employment conditions: Day, Morning
- Benefits: Group Insurance Benefits after 3 months of employment. Group Insurance Benefits include disability insurance, dental insurance, prescription drugs, paramedical services, extended medical services and equipment.

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assess business needs to determine appropriate specifications for purchases
- Create comprehensive specifications for equipment, materials, and supplies
- Review and analyze supplier quotations to select the most suitable options
- Evaluate and negotiate offers and terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
- Procure general and specialized equipment, materials and business services as per business needs
- Ensure compliance with company policies and budget requirements
- Establish and maintain effective communication with suppliers for ongoing procurement needs
- Monitor order and delivery schedules; proactively resolve delays, shortages, or quality issues with suppliers
- Track and monitor delivery schedules to ensure timely fulfillment of orders
- Communicate with clients and suppliers to identify and resolve issues related to procurement and delivery
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data
- Conduct supplier performance evaluations and develop improvement plans
- Assist in the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures
- Prepare reports on procurement activities, costs, and supplier performance for management review
Qualifications and Skills:
- Must be able to communicate in English
- College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
- Work conditions and physical capabilities: Ability to work independently; Work under pressure; Tight deadlines; Attention to detail; Large caseload
- Personal suitability: Client focus; Efficient interpersonal skills; Excellent oral communication; Excellent written communication; Organized; Team player; Time management; Flexibility; Ability to multitask
