Senior Accounting Analyst

Stellar Recruitment is looking for a Senior Accounting Analyst to join a dynamic Finance team dedicated to upholding financial integrity and supporting strategic decision-making through timely, accurate, and transparent reporting. As part of the Corporate Accounting branch, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance, improving processes, and delivering valuable financial information to internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities
- Lead the month-end and quarter-end financial close processes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of financial results in compliance with IFRS.
- Prepare financial statements and supporting notes for both domestic and foreign operations, coordinating with internal teams and external auditors.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, payroll, and other departments to ensure complete and accurate transaction recording.
- Maintain and enhance documentation of accounting processes, procedures, and internal controls for compliance and operational efficiency.
- Support regulatory tax compliance by working closely with the Tax team on statutory filings and related reporting requirements.
- Deliver insightful analysis and presentations to stakeholders, including management, the board, project owners, and auditors.
Qualifications
- Professional designation (CPA) with 3–5 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years post-designation.
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS, financial consolidations, and multi-jurisdictional reporting.
- Proven ability to mentor and lead junior staff while managing competing priorities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to improving accounting processes.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical financial matters clearly to a wide range of audiences.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience with MS Dynamics NAV, Jet Analytics, and/or Workday Financials is an asset.
- Preference to a candidate that can go on site to the clients Vancouver or Victoria office.
Salary: $65-85 per/hour based on a 12 month contract
