Who you are

You have a genuine interest in IT asset management or supply chain management and an eagerness to learn and grow within the field. You thrive in a team environment and work collaboratively to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Your solid digital literacy skills enhance your adaptability – you have the needed flexibility to adapt to a changing technical landscape and apply a proactive approach to your own learning and organizational process improvement.

What you’ll do

The ITAM Agent is responsible for the procurement and life-cycle management of technology assets, services, and software for the CNSC in support of IMTD’s service delivery mandate for internal or external clients, and key partners.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working with client groups to identify or confirm their software and hardware needs;
  • Contract management and maintenance/monitoring of software subscriptions;
  • Providing technical support (ie: investigates, troubleshoots, determines, resolves, and documents technical problems experienced) and fulfilling of service requests related to the IT Asset Management module (ITAM) in ServiceTeam.
  • Planning and coordinating the life cycling of CNSC’s IT assets, including identifying, tracking, and updating assets proactively to mitigate degradation of user experience.

Essential qualifications

Education: Completion of post-secondary diploma or certificate in business administration, information technology, or supply chain management or an equivalent combination of education, experience and job knowledge

Language requirements :

Bilingual imperative with a proficiency at BBB level. If you are unsure of your proficiency level, we encourage you to take a self-assessment here .

Experience :

  • Preparing procurement paperwork, including ensuring correct financial coding on paperwork and in financial systems, and tracking expenses and supporting documentation.
  • Responding to and coordinating the fulfilment of IT asset management or IM/IT issues or service requests.
  • Performing research, summarizing information, and presenting results.

Knowledge:

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications
  • Basic knowledge of theories, principles and practices of asset life-cycle methodologies, and IT service delivery.
  • Best practice, theory and principles related to contract management.

Ability:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment to meet clients’ service requests in a professional and timely manner.
  • Analytical skills and ability to solve problems and implement effective and timely solutions for IM/IT related asset and procurement challenges.
  • Writing skills and strong digital competency in order to produce basic system documentation, reports, dashboards, and correspondence.

Asset qualifications

  • ITIL 4 Foundations certification
