We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, effective communication skills, and the ability to handle heavy lifting and moving tasks. A background in warehouse operations and forklift operation is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
- Ensure the safe loading and unloading of goods, performing heavy lifting as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel consumption.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety standards are met.
- Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management and forklift operation.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing any inquiries or concerns from clients during deliveries.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driver's license and appropriate endorsements.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Experience in heavy lifting and moving items safely within a warehouse or delivery environment.
- Familiarity with forklift operation is preferred but not required; training may be provided.
- Previous experience in customer service roles is advantageous, enhancing the overall delivery experience for clients.
