About the role**.**
The role involves overseeing safety practices, coaching safe work behaviors, and leading incident investigations at the Project Sunlight facility. Additionally, it includes supporting health and safety programs, documenting incidents, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols like LOTO and inspections.
What you’ll be doing.
- Responsible for observing and maintaining safety work practices throughout the Project Sunlight facility
- Coaching and intervention of safe work practices
- Maintain, initiate, lead and document incident investigations
- Participation in Health and Safety Programs including Safety Interactions, GEMBA, and Risk Assessments
- Support incident reporting, tracking, and monitoring incident rates per shift
- Be a resource and lead safe facilitation of LOTO when needed
- Document Control and Audits such as inspection forms, incident reports, investigations, etc
- Communication of safety incidents and toolbox safety moments
- Assisting in Health and Safety program completion
What you’ll need to be successful.
- Health and Safety education required.
- 1-2 years experience working in the field of health and safety.
- Manufacturing experience is an asset.
- Possess strong administrative skills with the ability to navigate various software systems including Intelex, Microsoft suite, and Velocity.
- Willingness to participate training and coaching of new employees in procedure adherence and safe work practices
- Ability to work well with plant supervision and production employees
- Team player with excellent attendance
- Analytical, organized, and attention to detail
- Ability to accept and embrace change in a fast-paced environment
- Good safety record
Physical Requirements
- Physically capable of performing all required duties.
This is a 1-year contract position.

- Maternity/paternity leave
- 12-hour rotating schedule: 4-on (2-day shifts, 2 night shifts)/4-off
