Title: Manager, Funding Arrangements (Internal Only)
Salary: $99,899 - $117,528 - $135,158 per year (pay range explained below)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hour (core hours Mon-Fri 9am-3pm)
Location: Park Royal Office (Metro Vancouver) location on the ancestral Coast Salish Territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations – Hybrid (Hybrid working is an option in line with FNHA’s flex work policy). Please note, this role will be relocating to our new office building in North Vancouver on Tsleil-Waututh Nation (TWN) land, south of Mount Seymour Parkway in Spring 2027.

About the role
As Manager, Funding Arrangements, you will provide operational leadership in the negotiation process in the relevant reporting area and supports B.C. First Nation’s organizations in implementing their funding arrangement. You will partner with Manager, Funding Arrangements Development in finalizing the agreements and implementation processes. Additionally, you will develop and maintain effective working relations with internal staff, provincial health authorities and First Nations governments, tribal councils, communities and health associations. As well, you will develop, negotiate, monitor and evaluate health funding arrangements. In addition, you will manage the Funding Arrangements team.

About you
Education

  • A University Degree in business or a related discipline

Experience

  • Eight (8) years of related experience, including that in a leadership role, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Advising First Nations communities and Health Service providers in managing sensitive and complex Funding Arrangements, including monitoring, reporting, and risk management;
  • Building and maintaining effective and collaborative working relationships with First Nations communities, health associations, government(s) and business leaders
  • Experience in managing funding arrangements within First Nations communities/organizations is an asset

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of general funding arrangements and contract practices
  • Knowledge of the basic accounting principles, methods and techniques used to conduct financial analysis
  • Knowledge of risk analysis principles, methods and techniques to evaluate and determine the adequacy of funding arrangement controls and reporting
  • Knowledge of negotiation methods and techniques to successfully conclude large and/or complex agreements

The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours.
Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements.
The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level. Internal employee compensation will be determined as per the FNHA Employee Total Compensation Policy.
