Status: Regular Part-Time (RPT)

Hours: 24 hours per week

Salary: Start: $30.62 – Max: $35.50

About The Field Placement Advisor Role Reporting to the Manager, Work Integrated Learning, the Field Placement Advisor is a proactive team member in the Faculty of Social and Community Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing relevant field experience opportunities for students, liaising with host organizations, seminar instructors and students, and managing a database of field experience related information. The Field Placement Advisor is also responsible for a host of administrative functions relating to Work-Integrated Learning and Experiential Learning. The Field Placement Advisor will uphold the FSCS values of compassion, integrity, respect, self-awareness, and inclusion in all interactions with students, external and internal stakeholders.

Education The successful candidate will hold a 4-year degree or equivalent.

Experience/Skills The incumbent must have a minimum of two (2) years of related work experience, and demonstrate the following:

Exceptional administrative, interpersonal, communication and organization skills, as well as the ability to work well under pressure with minimal supervision are essential.

Other qualifications include: demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, exercise good judgement, work with significant interruptions, and resolve conflicts.

Preference will go to applicants with a background in Human Service fields such as Social Service, Community Development, Addictions and Mental Health, Behavioural Science, Community Justice as well as job development experience.
