About the role
The primary role of the Logistics Coordinator is to complete every aspect of the dispatching process for general highway freight while consistently meeting and / or exceeding the customer service expectations. The incumbent focuses on maximizing profit margins and reinforcing service expectations while building and maintaining relationships with new and existing carriers.
Shipment/Service Management:

Recognizing that servicing our customers is Priority One. Customer interaction and pick-up/order processing via such channels as Telephone, Fax, Email or Web in a polite and professional manner

Process pick-ups/orders
-
Coordinators are to fulfill pick up request for non assets service zones excluding Rogue’s common carrier LTL network
-
Coordinators are to negotiate on our client’s behalf to secure availability and meet the clients budget while maintaining gross margins
-
Coordinators are also expected to act as purchasers of freight to fill our own Rogue trucks when possible
-
Coordinators are expected to keep up to date with market conditions, supply, demand and price points
-
Coordinators are expected to track and trace all shipments and follow protocol for specific SOP’s

Coordinators are responsible to keep supplier records current
-
Always educate and present viable options to our clients
-
Keep close relations to our suppliers and set regular meetings with preferred and new suppliers

All other duties as assigned
Other Duties:

Transfer calls to other individuals or departments in the company, advising the caller of direct numbers where appropriate.

Check Logistics Group e-mail ongoing.

Accurately record your work updates in the service notes

Client spread sheets
Education / Qualifications:
- University/College Degree
- 2 years of Inside Sales or Sales Support
- Driven by success and the opportunity to make money in a competitive environment
- Previous Sales and Account Management experience
- Proven selling, customer service and communication skills
- Analytical, data driven approach to sales
- Problem-solving, time management and strong negotiation skills
- Well-organized and self-motivated to achieve results
- Ability to manage multiple business relationships and execute under pressure
