Oretta Hospitality is expanding!

Oretta King West and Oretta Midtown are looking for an experienced Bartender to join our team! The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a fast-paced restaurant with excellent customer service skills, passion for hospitality, and a team-oriented environment. Previous experience working in fine dining with Italian food and wine knowledge is considered an asset.

Oretta first opened their doors in 2017 to provide Toronto’s vibrant King West area with an authentic yet modern-day Italian culinary experience.
In 2022, Oretta Midtown opened, and we are very excited to announce the opening of our third location, Oretta Downtown, in Summer 2025. We focus on delivering genuine Italian cuisine, emphasizing fresh, high-quality ingredients and traditional cooking methods.

Our menu features a variety of classic Italian dishes with innovative twists on traditional recipes. The restaurant's design typically reflects a blend of classic Italian elegance with modern aesthetics. About You

  • Minimum of 3 years of Bartending experience in a high-volume, fast-paced casual fine dining establishment with cocktail crafting experience and wine knowledge
  • Available on weekdays and weekends, day, and night shifts, as well as Holidays
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills with the ability to effectively interact with staff, customers, and vendors.
  • A passion for food and beverage, while maintaining a professional attitude and outgoing personality that builds regular clientele and an enjoyable experience for guests
  • Working as a member of a team
  • Smart Serve Certification required
  • Passion and sound understanding of Italian cuisine, wines, cocktails, and spirits is a plus!

Job description

You are not only preparing our seasonal and classic cocktails and making the perfect espresso-based coffees with passion and detail and in a timely manner, but you are also creating a memorable experience for our guests who choose to sit at our beautiful marble bar. You will deliver excellent customer service, build regulars, and create an experience that will encourage guests to return for the conversation, the attention to detail, and the enjoyable food and beverages that we are so incredibly proud of.

  • Preparing beverage orders in a timely manner for the restaurant servers while maintaining a tidy, organized, and well-prepped bar behind the scenes, reporting to the Bar Manager daily and communicating bar needs or stock requirements.
  • Scheduling is flexible, both day and night shifts during the week and on weekends.
  • Following daily prep and checklists, adjusting par levels if necessary.
  • Batching signature drinks, making syrups and infusions and dehydrated garnishes.
  • Adhering to company-appropriate cleanliness, labelling, and storage.
  • Preparing coffees, cocktails, and wine and beverage orders for guests
  • Adhering to Oretta Employee handbook.
  • Adhere to Oretta Steps of Service and extensive food and beverage menu knowledge.
