COMMERCIAL DEMAND PLANNER – EU-GMP Cannabis Operations
Location: Brampton, ON L6T 3T7

Northern Green Canada is a licensed Canadian cannabis producer dedicated to delivering high-quality medical and recreational cannabis products across global markets. As we grow, we’re seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Commercial Demand Planner to optimize supply chain, production, and sales forecasting within our global framework.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Commercial Demand Planner is responsible for generating and managing demand forecasts from Commercial team to support supply chain, production planning, inventory management, and export delivery across multiple global markets. This role acts as a strategic interface between the commercial, operations, production,supply chain and quality teams, ensuring that product availability aligns with market demand and EU-GMP release requirements.
This is a pivotal role in driving demand accuracy, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction within a highly regulated, quality-focused environment
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Forecasting & Demand Planning
- Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts by region, product category, and SKU, based on input from international sales teams, historical data, and market intelligence.
- Lead monthly demand planning cycles as part of the integrated Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
- Collaborate with commercial teams to align forecasts with sales targets, promotions, and new product introductions.
- Incorporate export lead times, batch release timelines, and regulatory requirements into the demand planning model.
- Inventory Management & Product Availability
- Monitor finished goods inventory levels to ensure optimal stock positioning for domestic and international markets.
- Track batch readiness, EU-GMP release timelines, and expiry dates to proactively manage inventory risk and product availability.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain and QA/RA teams to ensure alignment between forecasted demand and batch certification timelines.
- Operational Collaboration
- Work closely with Production Planning, Packaging, Quality Assurance, and Regulatory Affairs to ensure production schedules meet commercial requirements.
- Support the prioritization of production and release schedules based on export timelines and international purchase orders.
- Analytics & Reporting
- Analyze forecast accuracy, demand trends, and market signals to continuously improve planning processes.
- Develop and distribute regular reports and dashboards on demand performance, inventory health, and product availability.
- Identify gaps between forecast and actuals and recommend corrective actions.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in demand planning, preferably in pharmaceuticals, cannabis, FMCG, or other regulated industries.
- Direct experience working with EU-GMP standards or in highly regulated international markets is a strong asset.
- Familiarity with demand planning tools and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; advanced Excel skills required (e.g., pivot tables, lookup functions).
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight timelines in a fast-paced, compliance-focused environment.
