Position Summary:

We are hiring 2 Tier 1 CyberSOC Analysts to join our 24/7 Security Operations Centre (SOC) in a night shift rotation. This role is designed for early-career professionals with a strong interest in cybersecurity operations, ready to serve as the first line of defense in identifying and escalating potential security incidents. Over time, opportunities exist to transition into Tier 2 roles and alternate shift rotations based on performance and operational need.

What you will be doing:

  • Serve as the first responder by monitoring, triaging, and categorizing security alerts using tools such as Microsoft Sentinel, IDS/IPS, EDR, and firewalls.
  • Follow documented SOC playbooks and standard operating procedures to assess and escalate security incidents to Tier 2.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation in the case management and ticketing system for each alert handled.
  • Conduct basic threat intelligence correlation and support improvements to alert fidelity.
  • Participate in vulnerability management tasks and compliance support activities.
  • Maintain situational awareness across multiple monitoring systems and collaborate with team members across shifts.

You have:

  • 1–3 years of experience in a Security Operations role; 2+ years is strongly preferred.
  • Preference for previous experience within an MSSP environment.
  • Proficiency with SOC tools such as SIEM (e.g., Microsoft Sentinel), EDR, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security platforms.
  • Familiarity with TCP/IP, log analysis, common attack vectors, and the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively document findings and escalate clearly.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft SC-200, or ISC² SSCP are highly desirable.
  • Ability to work effectively within structured response frameworks and shift-based teams.
  • This is a night shift position within a rotating schedule that may include weekends and holidays.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain government security clearance and pass federal, provincial, and local police background checks.
  • Demonstrated ability to remain focused under pressure, follow procedures rigorously, and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

The salary offered for this position falls within a specified salary range and will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and the specific needs of the organization.
