The Maintenance Planner is responsible for utilizing the Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to continuously improve the work order system with Give & Go and to search for effective ways to reduced unplanned downtime significantly within the current practices.
Job Overview:
- Championing the improvement of planned work through the use of the CMMS program such by identifying appropriate frequency and transitioning from time based to condition based
- Assigning Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM) based on priority to maintenance personnel by issuing all PM's & CM's in a timely manner and closing all PM's and CM's once completed & adhering to the KPI for PM completion rate and labour utilization
- Work closely with MRO team members to ensure timely delivery of key parts, and as a back-up team member as needed
- Assist in troubleshooting tasks and operation downtimes to effectively resolving issues; elevating it to the next level of management if assist is needed including new equipment identification for CMMS & asset tagging and assigning in CMMS
- Conduct workplace inspection in area of responsibility for safety, GMP violations, production line and equipment
- Ensure an effective PM system is in place to maintain equipment compliance to H&S guidelines and regulations, SQF, HACCP, GMP and quality requirements
- Ensuring the company’s current policies, procedures, H&S programs and corporate security guidelines are applied effectively in 2 ways communication
- Follow company’s health and safety program, rules and procedures and work in compliance with health and safety-related legislation and codes
- Ensures food safety and food quality programs and procedures and applicable requirements of the SQF system is fully implemented and are followed at all times
- Communicate on potential upgrades and maintenance on equipment within Give & Go, utilizing resources and knowledge on PMs and CMS within the department & providing weekly PM schedule
- Call in the necessary PMs through the contractor when necessary
- Other duties as required
Recipe for Success:
- Completion of high school with related speciality or college diploma in a related field
- 3 years of experience in an industrial maintenance field
- 1 year of maintenance planning experience
- CMMS program certificate
- Maintenance Management Professional (MMP) or Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) Certification preferred
- Previous experience within a food manufacturing company preferred
- An excellent problem solver with strong troubleshooting skills
- Working knowledge on mechanical/electrical systems and components; including, but not limited to, Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Pumps, Gear Boxes, Power Transmission, Material Handling, Sensor, Transmitters, DC and AC circuits, Transformers, Power and Energy, Arc Flash
- Working knowledge and experience on Automation; Industrial Process and Control system; PLC; Measuring Devices; Instrumentation; Robotic Application; Bulk Handling System; Oven
- Project management skill with capability of scoping the work and work break down analysis
- Strength to stay on top of the Breakdown/downtime or any other issue until being resolved (initiate RCA)
- Planning, scheduling & assigning ability while well experienced in defining priorities, required skills & resources
- Computer Savvy, hold practical knowledge on CMMS and Microsoft Office (Work, Excel, Power point)
- Multitasked in a fast-paced environment with lots of change in direction bases business requirement
- Holding strong analytical, interpersonal, organizational and communication (verbal and written) skills
