About the role

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Civil-Municipal Engineer to lead the design and delivery of complex infrastructure projects. This role can be based out of our Burnaby, BC branch or our Calgary, AB branch. Candidates applying from either location will be considered. As an ideal candidate, you bring technical excellence in pump station and municipal system design, strong leadership skills, and a collaborative spirit. What You’ll Do

  • Lead the planning, design, and construction of municipal infrastructure projects, including sewer, drainage, and water pump stations.
  • Serve as the Engineer-of-Record or Technical Lead on high-profile municipal and regional utility projects.
  • Manage all phases of project delivery, from feasibility studies and conceptual planning to detailed design and construction administration.
  • Supervise and mentor junior and intermediate engineering staff, fostering technical growth and project ownership.
  • Review, prepare, and sign technical reports, detailed design drawings, documentation, specifications, and bid documents.
  • Collaborate with CAD and field teams to ensure design intent is met during construction.
  • Lead and support the construction phase of projects, managing tenders, compiling contracts and providing construction administration services including quality control/assurance, safety oversight, and environmental compliance throughout construction phases.
  • Lead and support the development of proposals and participate in client-facing business development initiatives.
  • Coordinate multi-disciplinary projects involving clients such as municipalities, regional districts, First Nations, and institutional/industrial clients.

What You’ll Bring

  • A positive and motivated personality!
  • Effective interpersonal skills, a strong client-service focus, and the ability to work in a team environment
  • A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • A licensed Professional Engineer in Canada with a minimum of 15 years of experience
  • Previous municipal and water infrastructure design experience is required
  • Previous project management and project coordination experience is required.

  • You are interested in building infrastructure
  • You have experience in consulting engineering and/or an interest in developing a consulting engineering career in municipal design utilizing various project delivery methods
  • You have strong report writing, communication, and organization skills
  • You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) and be able to work with team members in a multi-disciplinary environment
  • A valid driver’s license (in good standing) is mandatory
  • Must be physically able to conduct field visits commensurate with project work. This may include handling and operation of equipment, travel to remote areas by vehicle, boat, air or foot, and outdoor site visits in all weather conditions on uneven/varying ground terrain.

Wage Range

  • $150,000 - $200,000, wage dependent on years of experience
