Cambrian Credit Union is seeking a Wealth Solutions Advisor to join our Wealth & Advisory Services team.
The Wealth Solutions Advisor is responsible for co-managing a shared portfolio of existing Aviso Wealth investors; effectively utilizing non in-person meeting channels (video/telephone) to support basic servicing, planning and prospecting, while efficiently working as a team. After conducting a meaningful discovery to identify external asset consolidation and sales leads including conversion to full-service Cambrian membership, investors will be triaged appropriately. A core focus will be to digitally refer and transition investors within the centralized portfolio to Aviso’s Qtrade Guided Portfolio, with quality follow up to ensure successful onboarding.
In the role of Wealth Solutions Advisor, you will:
- Provide existing investors with basic portfolio servicing & retirement planning to fulfil immediate transactional requirements, while meeting regulatory requirements.
- Be highly motivated with focus towards new business development prospecting activities including Salesforce marketing cloud; consistently leveraging Aviso holistic discovery tools to identify investment, deposit and lending opportunities; with professional triage as appropriate.
- Effectively manage all assigned sales & service campaigns, with associated new sales referrals made to Qtrade Guided Portfolio or appropriate Cambrian delivery channels being successfully completed.
- Effectively manage OAB ‘Discovery Meeting – Wealth Solutions Advisor’ and ‘Discovery Meeting – Online Investing Options’ service with appropriate triage after conducting efficient discovery.
- Deliver a meaningful Qtrade Guided Portfolio introduction with accompanying digital referral to investors within the centralized portfolio not currently suited/seeking comprehensive advisory or self-service delivery channel.
- Monitor and follow up all Qtrade digital referrals made by Wealth Solutions Centre, ensuring successful account onboarding has been completed with investor needs having been met.
- Efficiently onboard new Aviso Wealth investors in alignment with regulatory requirements; supporting NEI portfolio solutions and delivery of basic planning to meet member needs.
- Maintain strong product knowledge within NEI preferred asset member owned solutions.
- Keep up to date with the overall economic and financial environment, current events, market conditions, trends, and changes to legislation and product platforms in an area that is subject to frequent change.
- Provide expertise in dealing with centralized clients, each with specific needs and circumstances requiring a unique financial analysis and basic plan to meet their short term and long-term financial requirements.
- Provide leadership for the delivery of service excellence to members in all areas of contact with Cambrian Credit Union.
- Provide assistance and support to the Manager and VP Wealth & Advisory Services as deemed necessary or as required (e.g. undertake tasks or duties as assigned).
Your Education & Experience:
- Mutual fund license in good standing, holding IFIC or Canadian Securities Course, and holding either Certified Financial Planner or Personal Financial Planner designation or completion within 36 months of assuming the role.
- Post-secondary degree, diploma or certificate in business, or equivalent business experience.
- Proven performer within a financial retail sales environment with a minimum of two years direct selling experience.
- Thorough understanding of the various personal financial planning theories and standard asset allocation practices with practical knowledge of the various financial products and investment markets accessible to an investor.
- Excellent verbal and written communicator.
- Confident working with online technology platforms.
- Proficient in PC applications of Outlook, Excel & Word.
- Working knowledge of Salesforce is considered an asset.
- Critical thinker who analyzes information and uses logic to address issues, problems and challenges.
- Ability to work well in an environment with multiple and often changing priorities
