Role Overview:
We are looking for a Human Resources Generalist to provide functional support to the HR department including; full cycle recruitment, leave of absence administration, employee relations, training and development programs and employee documentation. Additionally, the HR Generalist will provide advisory and operational support for our medical and cosmetic clinics and head office team, reporting into the Director, Human Resources.
Role Objectives
The Human Resources Generalist’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Full cycle recruitment including posting positions on Indeed, screening applicants, conducting interviews, preparing offer letters, and initiating the criminal record check process.
- Lead the new hire onboarding process including collecting new hire paperwork, completing set-up in Dayforce, and enrolling new hires in all HR platforms.
- Preparing offer letters for internal promotions or transitions.
- Maintain employee profiles in Dayforce including updating pay information and work assignments.
- Assist the HR Director with designing and implementing the overall recruitment and onboarding strategy.
- Work with clinic managers and team leads to identify staffing needs.
- Maintain electronic employee files on SharePoint.
- Oversee benefits administration process, including setting new hires up in the Sunlife portal and issuing benefits cards to employees.
- Assisting with the creation and maintenance of all job descriptions.
- Work with the HR Director to update company policies.
- Assist with the annual performance review process.
- Provide various reports to the HR Director and Operations team when necessary.
- Assist with the creation and maintenance of current and new HR programs and initiatives as needed.
- Support return to work and leave of absence administration for all employees.
- Collaborating with the Human Resources Director to create and add new content to ‘Rejuv U’.
- Provide support to the Human Resources Director in answering general inquiries from employees and defer to Human Resources Director when necessary.
- Maintain a current working knowledge applicable employment standards and human rights legislation.
- Additional duties and projects as assigned by the Human Resources Manager.
Role Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources or similar education required.
- 2 -4 years of experience in human resources
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
- Experience with Dayforce an asset
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Works well under pressure and with tight deadlines
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Team player
